Physical Description:

Personality: Gage can very often become extremely defensive and usually makes sure of fulfilling his reputation as an arrogant, disdainful and condescending man. However, there have, on very rare occasions, been people that have seen another side to Gage, a softer, vulnerable and far more genuine one, leading to a label of unpredictability.

Although having become a little more self-controlled since incidents in earlier life, Gage is susceptible to a violent streak that can also be found in his brother, Pasael. He is capable of becoming very angry, very quickly which inevitably leads to a large number of violent disputes. Many people who know him have learnt to avoid creating such situations and to back off quickly if one should occur with the knowledge that when angry Gage is capable of very nearly anything, and has very few qualms over dealing with those who have irritated him.

Gage also has a habit that he finds hard to control; purposely aggravating people. Although knowing it is unwise to play such games, it is something that he has got used to using as a device. He may sometimes enjoy it to some extent, but it usually comes into play when a conversation takes a turn he dislikes or he senses curiosity from the person he is talking to. Although he has realised he uses it as a distraction or deterrent, he doesn't even truly realise himself that he uses it to reach a specific, darker goal; one that is usually obtained.

Personal History: Gage grew up in the official home of the noble House of Tryshare. He had a lavish childhood in terms of his surroundings...but in the quality of the family life, he was far from nourished. Whilst developing a firm and close bond with his elder brother, Pasael, he also formed a good relationship with the eldest son, Toviak, and his only sister, Elrenia. Unfortunately, problems often occurred between Gage and the youngest son of the family, Rokase, with whom dislike soon turned to a bitter hatred. The same could be said for Gage's relationship and feeling toward his parents.

His father was nothing less than a tyrant in the household, casting a dark and uneasy atmosphere of fear over the whole family. Gage soon learnt to hate not only his father for his harsh and cruel treatment of his family, but also his mother for being too weak to stand up to him.

It was at the age of 18 that Gage was involved in an incident within the House that led to his father banishing him from the House Tryshare, officially disowned with all recognition of his nobility stripped. Fleeing to the city of Praxis, he found himself mildly grateful that he was allowed to leave at all, having feared after his father's anger that the only way he would have left the grounds would have been as a corpse. Yet even that silver thread didn't keep the hate, anger, pain and hurt from him at his disownment; feelings he still holds to this day.

He had no choice but to adapt to his new life of poverty quickly, finding there would be certain things that he would have to do in order to live at all; a young man of noble breeding wasn't taught any of the useful skills that would serve to make him money in the real world. He found himself in a new occupation that he would never have dreamt of a few years previously. A petty thief, and hopeful gambler, he resorted to selling his body to scrape enough money to live and support his newly developed vices of opium and drink. His temper and dark attitude earning him many enemies, and his defensiveness and secrecy of his former life earning mocking reactions and taunts, his closest companion has in fact become a wild, lone half wolf that Gage has named Tyst, and that remains strangely loyal and tame to him.

Gage is of the slender, tall kind, built for speed rather than strength. He holds sharp, striking and attractive features that would be considered pretty rather than rugged or handsome, even if they are accompanied by the occasional scar. Worn either tied back or loose, his black hair reaches a considerable length down his back. Although his unusual black eyes, that hold a deep violet sheen under certain light or in particular moods, are a Tryshare distinction, they're rather unusual with his father, his sister Elrenia, his brother Pasael and himself being the only members of the family alive holding the trait.
