Physical Description: well-kept brown hair and closely trimmed beard. Small scar visible on left cheekbone, blue eyes. Wears the Town Watch black chainmail and a black cloak, as well as the golden chain and medallion of the Servant of the Dragon. Shirt has the Gold Dragon emblem.

Personality: Fancying himself somewhat of a ladies man, he has rededicated himself to playing the field after Lady Reagan broke his heart. He is moody, and prone to brooding. Although he has a keen sense of justice, he does always follow the letter to the law, preferring to decide that which is "the higher good."

Personal History: Son of Fafnir and Katya Savage, he was born on the Edo Maru, and later taken from his parents when the Tussey Belle was boarded by the Cadessi Navy, and his father was found smuggling out Cadessi Heretic refugees. Josh was given to Gnome Foster Care, and fell under the mentorship of Dirk, son of Groll, on board the Shrewd Acquisition. From his humble beginnings as an Assistant Waste Extraction Technician, Josh moved up the ranks to a Cabin Boy. When Dirk was murdered, Josh solved his first murder case, and earned his freedom. Finding his mother in Praxis City, Josh travelled to the colonies. Finding temporary work among Cadessi refugees who remembered his father, Josh gained the attention of the Town Watch by solving a string of murders in the Farm Lands. At the same time, he was reunited with his father. As a Watch Detective, he gained fame through uncovering a plot an Esani assassination attempt on the Dragon Praxis, and earned the covet Servant of the Dragon. Being one of the few people who could demand an instance audience with the Dragon, Josh found himself among new "friends," including the beautiful Lady Reagan. In love with the dream of a better, noble life, Josh let himself be used as a consort, until he figured out he was being used. He broke up with Reagan, and vowed to never fall in love again. Currently he is pursuing Jessafine, and being pursued by Watch Candidate Lia Mohr. Josh was just passed over for Captain of the Guard.

Allies: All Savages, and a ghost named Jeradin. Del Rook the sorcerer has also been known to help. Josh lives in the second story flat above Arabella's Silver Shop.

Enemies: Lord Adolfo Dor, who has been rejected by Lady Reagan, and still holds a grudge for his past relationship with her.

Martial Skills: Skilled with the rapier and dagger.

Magical Skills: During childhood, Josh developed the gift/curse of seeing dead people. He can communicate with ghosts, and became a Watch Detective primarily to ensure that he was not going crazy, and giving him an excuse to lay a few of his many hauntings to rest.
